Benefits

Typical Applications
Richco Crushed Glass is ideal for application to feature areas, tree pits, pond surrounds and paths.

Hard Wearing and Safe
Richco Crushed Glass is hard wearing and durable. It will not chip or break and is safe under foot. This system is applied by trowel to the prepared surface to form a decorative and unique surface.

Permeable
Richco Crushed Glass can also be applied onto a permeable base course to form an attractive Tree Pit. The completed system allows the ingress of water through the Tree Pit System, enabling the tree to thrive without hindering its growth.

UV Stable
This system uses a clear UV stable resin binder to ensure the system does not discolour over time due to constant light exposure.

Installation Guide

Curing Time
This product is fit for foot traffic after approximately 4 hours. Full properties will develop in four to five days. Water should not be allowed to lie on the surface for at least 7 days.

Glass
Richco Stone Binder should only be used with dry crushed glass. The bond strength of the binder will be reduced if moist glass is used and excessive foaming will result.

Surface Preparation
Richco.

Mixing
Components A+B should be mixed with the glass in a forced action mixer. Whilst coating the glass care should be taken not to over mix, since certain glass can be ground to dust by the action of the mixer causing the binder film to become cloudy. Mixing is complete when a uniform coating covers all the glass (usually 30 seconds to one minute).

Application
The mixed glass is applied to the surface by trowel. A lightweight whacker plate or beam screeder can be used for larger areas. The mixed material remains in a mobile form for approximately 30 to 40 minutes depending on the ambient temperature.
